The plan is to leave Cafe D'Lish no later than 8.30am Come early to have breakfast or coffee.

This is a great day to get our just about anywhere and ride before the traffic comes out for Christmas lunch.

Ride is as usual subject to the weather conditions. If it's raining don't bother. If it's boiling hot we will be leaving much earlier. I will update the ride details as it gets closer.

We will be home by about 12.30pm to 1.30pm This ride is always enjoyable due to it being one of the lightest traffic condition days for the year.

Options are the Yarra Valley, Flinders/Hastings area or the Wonthaggi/Leongatha areas.

Six riders took advantage of the Christmas day traffic lull in the morning to ride into the Yarra Valley area. Down North Rd.through Rowville, Emerald and the back roads to Woori Yallock. We came into Healseville the back way from Woori Yallock where the traffic the whole way was very light.

A shmooze in Healesville and we headed back home via the Maroondah highway. Riders were Glenn, Stuart, Sergey, Mark, Avi and myself. Avi continued home on the Maroondah while the rest of us went right onto the Eltham Road through some great roads coming into Eltham.

Mark, Sergey and I separated from Glenn and Stuart who headed for the Zoo to meet their other halves. We arrived back in Caulfield by 12.00pm Total Kms. approximately 180 and only about 5 minutes of rain and some wet roads leading towards Cockatoo. The rest of the ride was dry and cool...perfect conditions.
