Annual Memorial Ride for members who have passed on. We'll be travelling to Arthur's Seat and the surrounding areas in memory of Motti Krantz, Luella Efron and Batya Simon. We also acknowledge past members Bill Borofsky and Chaim New who were part of the YOW family many years ago.

Arthur's Seat was always a favourite ride for Motti and indeed for many of us. We are not making this a solemn occassion, rather it's a celebration of their lives and the fact that they were riders who enjoyed the same passion we all still enjoy.

Sol will be leading the ride and we look forward to the weather cooperating. In the event of bad weather the ride will be postponed to the next available good weather Sunday.

Thanks to those who made it to the coffee shop this morning. The Memorial Ride will be done each year like it was done today. Sol led a large group on the freeway, past Mornington, Mount Martha and eventually up to Arthur's Seat. We had more than enough for a minyan and Volvi recited the Kadish for us at the Arthur's Seat lookout, looking out onto Port Philip Bay.

Some riders led by Graham took off for more riding in the Red Hill, Flinders area while the rest of us cruised home on the Moorooduc highway. The weather was a mixture of cloudy and overcast but sprang into bright sunshine on the top of Arthur's Seat. The rain was predicted for later in the afternoon but we all had a dry very pleasant day. Total mileage for me was 198kms.
