200km

Stops:

504 Centre Rd Bentleigh (Coffee Fix), Tooradin, Warragul, Home

Occasion:

Arbitrary

Captain:

Sam Blumenstein

Plan:

Take the freeway to Tooradin. Turn toward Lang Lang, Nyora, Poowong and up to Warragul. We will have a short stop at Tooradin and a longer food stop at Warragul. Head back via Drouin, Longwarry, Nar Nar Goon and then the M1 towards home. Some great roads and expected nice weather.

Still need layers as it will be cool although sunny and warmer than last weeks ride to Bacchus Marsh. If you missed out last week make a show this week to ride or at least come to the coffee shop to shmooze and fress.

Report:

A cold day but several brave souls took part. Graham, Mark, Roi, Volvi, Rod, Chris and myself. We had a great run via Patterson Lakes and the back way (found some new roads) into Cranbourne South. Volvi left us before Cranbourne. A short stop at Tooradin and off again into the Lang Lang turnoff. Zero traffic for a great run into Poowong on those very neat sweeping roads. A short stop once again and off towards the Warragul turnoff. Thirty kms. of twisties, hilly countryside and into a busy Sunday in Warragul for petrol and lunch.

The run home was kept off the freeway on some great high speed roads past Drouin and into Nar Nar Goon after which we joined the M1 for the run home. Home by 2.30pm and a total of 256kms. It was a little warmer on the leg into Melbourne but their predicted 16-17C never materialised for us in the bush. The company and roads more than made up for it.
