Ride tomorrow morning Monday 12th January. Meet at Lenny's Milk Bar 636 Inkerman Rd. Caulfield North. Leaving 9.00am sharp. Riding to Yarra Valley area, Healesville, Black Spur etc. For those still on holidays it's looking like a warm day. We will cover about 230kms and be home by about 2.00pm

The ride plan is not set in stone. We will play it by ear and see how the traffic and roads look. Bottom line the Yarra Valley area particularly the back roads always offer great riding in good weather conditions.

Always a gvery good ride into the heart of the Yarra Valley through Emerald, Woori Yallock, Healesville, the Black Spur, Marysville for lunch and home via different directions. Les and I went home the same way we came but diverted after Emerald to Belgrave and home via Ferntree Gully Road.

We don't know what the others did as they rode past at the bottom of the Black Spur on the home leg and did not see us filling up petrol. Became quite hot as we cruised down Ferntree Gully Road and then home via Neerim Road.

The ride was prompted by Sol who wanted to do the Great Ocean Road and Forrest Road route of over 400kms. With road works on the GOR as well as the holiday traffic still pretty heavy there I decided against that direction and distance today. The rest of weeks weather is looking rather bleak so we were glad we could manage a ride today in the warm conditions.
